This felt like stepping inside a memory rather than just reading a story. It's like the kind where the smallest details become the things you remember years later. The way you captured the colors, sounds, and sensations made the whole piece feel almost suspended in time. Like those moments when you know something is temporary, but you're trying to hold onto every detail anyway.
I really loved the contrast between movement and stillness throughout the piece. The traveling, the running, the constant change, yet somehow the memories become the things that stay. Beautifully written! Looking forward to your other pieces! :)
Elana, wow, this is such a beautiful comment. I think we might notice the same kinds of things. I'm always chasing those tiny details that somehow end up carrying an entire memory years later, so it means a lot that you picked up on that. I'm excited to read your work too, please share it with me <3 !!
Of course! And thank you for your reply. I appreciate you being excited about my work as well. Before I just send a random one (lol), is there a type of essay that you prefer reading? Like long-form vs. short-form? :)
You are my #1 Ethan!!! Thank you forever. I love trying to braid those different threads together until they start feeling like the same story. I love, especially, that you're here.
It is so sincere the way you spill your stories. rawness in reminiscing whilst you travel & a flight that takes you 2 years back in time. Time overlapping, but always moving forward for the next ticket, next horizon. It will always recall another until the next round recalls this one.
This is so beautifully put from the most special girl. "The next ticket, next horizon" feels exactly like the rhythm I am always trying to capture. Thank you for reading it so closely <333 love you infinitely
